One of our favorite places in Queens for your HK breakfast style food! Fresh and great service!
Typical Chinese bakery spot. Our usual place shut down not too long ago so we go here no when we're in the area. We only come for the bakery and breakfast options. Lil man loves his pineapple bao while wifey loves her hotdog bao. I usually get the red bean bao or the pork bao depending on my mood. Inside is small. About 4-5 tables and the mornings can get very busy. There have been a few times we had to wait for a table and even then there is no system for getting a table. But people are usually courteous and respectful of the "line." Prices have gone up in recent years but overall it's not bad, especially the breakfast combos. Service is usually quick. They accept cash or Zelle. No cards.
他们的服务很棒。我总能感受到宾至如归的感觉。如果你不知道点什么,他们会耐心地提供帮助。食物有正宗的香港风味。他们尊重顾客。 They have great service. I always feel welcome. They are patient and helpful if you don't know what to order. The food has a real Hong Kong taste. They treat customers with respect.
Beef Stew over rice in Chee Hau Sauces (柱候牛腩飯) $10.95 (Tips not required) with a cup of soup while supplies last. What can you say about this combo for lunch on a work day? The sauce was more toward creamy instead of savory compared to Cantonese beef stew other restaurants make. The texture of the beef stew is a 4 (0 Chewy - 10 Softness). If you like it this way like me, this is a full enjoyment for a casual working day lunch. I was also amused to see 5+ big pieces of Shanghainese Bok Choy and the scallion did made the meal pleasurable. I planned to only eat half and save half for my dietary plan. However, I could not resist to not finishing it all. Well! I guess I need to add on my exercise after this meal.
Early Sunday breakfast at this popular place. A few tables still available for dine in. Breakfast for two with a lot of food for $16 is hard to beat. Staff are very friendly and only waited a few minutes for our breakfast.
